FAREWELL TO THE FOCH TOP

While her sister ship Clemenceau was
withdrawn from service in June 1997,
the venerable Foch sails on at least until
the end of this year. She will be replaced
as the French Navy's flagship aircraft
carrier by the brand new nuclear-powered
goliath, Charles de Gaulle in 2001.

Francois & Philippe Notre takes us aboard
the Foch during one of her final deployments with an airgroup embarked while Julien Mathonniere gives us the latest up-date on the Charles de Gaulle.
